Trellis Poncho
Lion Brand® Trellis
GAUGE: 15 stitches = 4 inches [10 cm] in Garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

PONCHO
| Cast on 42 stitches. Work in Garter Stitch until piece measures 48" [122 cm] from beginning. Bind off loosely.
FINISHING Fold in half widthwise and sew 13"[33 cm] seam, leaving 11 inches [28 cm] open for neck, as shown in diagram. Weave in ends.
|
 |
| FRINGE Cut 30" [76 cm] strands for fringe. Using 2 strands per fringe, fold in half to form a loop. Insert crochet hook into edge of Poncho and draw loop through. Draw ends of fringe through loop and tighten. Work evenly around bottom edges of Poncho, spacing fringes 1½ inches [4 cm] apart. |

| I really love this pattern. I used the Trellis Rainbow yarn. It's beautiful! My husband loves it too. I plan to wear it with jeans that have crystals and studs on them--and I'm 60 years old! My girlfriend had to touch this Poncho! Now she wants to make one! It is easy! Try it, you'll love it too! Cyndi
